R.I.P., Croc Hunter.

I came home last night to the sad news of Steve Irwin’s sudden death from a stingray wound. Apparently the ray’s stinger punctured a hole in his heart.

The Crocodile Hunter was a favorite show of mine for quite some time, and I am actually sad to hear of Steve’s passing. Besides being a crazy Australian guy not afraid of anything, Steve Irwin was a true lover of animals and a wonderful environmentalist.

I feel badly for his wife and children, and hope that they can find a way to cope with his loss. I also hope that they are able to continue in his efforts in conserving the environment and preserving endangered species of animals.
