My pants used to do a heck of a lot more a few years ago than they do now. It turns out that getting pulled on in a rush and spending ten minutes in a car, followed by a quick walk to my office and eight hours hanging out between a butt and the bottom of a chair isn’t all that exciting for a pair of pants.
But that’s not the end of their day, dear readers. The enthralling day that my pants experience finishes with another brief walk to the car, another ten minutes sitting in the car, followed by being removed in favor of shorts or some alternative leg attire. It’s really a thankless job for the poor things.
The rare bursts of excitement must be quite a treat for my pants, though. Those weekends when it’s cold enough in Southern California to warrant the wearing of pants are quite a treat for them indeed. It helps them remember the good old days, before the days of websites and cubicles. But no matter how bored they may be right now, their memories of the good old days will always be with us.
If you have a fondness for pants, especially Dockers, you might think about joining in on the NBC Dockers contest, where you can create a commercial for Dockers and see it on The Tongith Show With Jay Leno if you’re skilled enough to win.
So give your pants the props they deserve, and get started making that commercial today!
