This is not terrorism.

The alleged “terror attacks” this weekend in London are a mockery of terrorism. I have seen more graphic and destructive violence in traffic accidents than in these terror attacks. If terrorists are this inept, we must be winning the war on terror.

Of course, in the ongoing effort to promote fear and justify this stupid war on terror, the mainstream media is reporting this as if it were 7/7 or 9/11 again. “‘Terror ringleader’ is brilliant NHS doctor”, reports the Daily Mail. If this guy is so “brilliant,” then how in the hell did he not come up with a better bomb? Doesn’t he understand the difference between incendiaries and explosives? Seriously.

But we, the media consumers, keep on buying it like a bunch of sheep. We still believe that “the terrorists” are going to attack at any time. We listen to stories like “Secret Document: U.S. Fears Terror ‘Spectacular’ Planned” from ABCNews.com, and cower in fear.

It’s the week of our nation’s birthday, a time to celebrate what our nation stands for. Sadly there are fewer and fewer reasons to celebrate our nation’s values. But what better opportunity to stand up and reject these alleged “patriots” who mock the true patriots who still stand behind the values our founding fathers believed in?
