Are you scared of the cops? Are you scared of your government? Yeah, me too.
If you’re not, consider this. Use of tasers in police work has increased at an alarming rate, and is not beign questioned by anyone. In fact, the only reason this has become apparent to the average citizen - sadly, the average citizen probably doesn’t even recognize this alarming trend - informed citizen, I should say, is because of LiveLeak and the prevalence of camcorders and cell phone video cameras.
Take for example this incident that just happened on Monday at the University of Florida. A student was tasered essentially for asking three tough questions, including questioning John Kerry’s membership in Skull and Bones (which, I might add, is a completely relevant question).
You may also remember the student who was tasered at the UCLA library for not showing his ID earlier this year. This news goes unreported, and its only outlet is through Internet video. And no one actually questions these officer’s motives or use of excessive force, which is really the most disturbing part of all.
I know it sounds like paranoia, but as one blogger points out in his article on tasering:
If that doesn’t scare you, maybe you don’t understand the enormity of thet situation. This effects every single citizen. If you get pulled over for speeding, maybe had a bad day at work and get a little ornery, you could easily find yourself being tasered. I don’t know about you, but it scares the hell out of me.
