Mike Gravel at the debates last night

It’s about damn time someone in politics started talking some sense. Mike Gravel keeps impressing me, and even if he doesn’t get the nomination, he’s still doing the best he can to get essential information and ideas out into the public mind.

Mike Gravel isn’t scared of calling other Democrats out on their mistakes and denial of those mistakes. In this clip from the debates last night, he states what everyone is thinking (or at least should be thinking) but is too scared to speak out loud: That no Democrat who voted for the Iraq war deserves to be President.

If the American people are serious about getting out of Iraq, we need to elect someone who is equally serious about it. Mike Gravel has proven his ability to get out of tricky war situations with his track record during Vietnam. Anyone who doubts his ability to get us out of Iraq (arguably the most important task for our next President) hasn’t done their homework.

Step out of your comfort zone, go for the underdog, and support Mike Gravel.
