Let’s get rid of Darth Cheney

With Dick Cheney’s recent attempt at dissociating himself from the Executive Branch of our government, it really is time to kick the bastard out. As Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash) said in a recent floor speech, “For the good of the nation, the vice president should leave office immediately.”

A few months ago when Dennis Kucinich introduced H. Res. 333, “Impeaching Richard B. Cheney, Vice President of the United States, for high crimes and misdemeanors,” it may have been a bit too early. As of last week however, the Resolution has ten co-sponsors and seems to be building momentum.
