Happy 4th of July

Happy Fourth of July to all of my fine readers out there. Today the United States celebrates the signing of the Declaration of Independence, which declared our independence from the tyranny of Great Britain’s rule. Wikipedia says:

Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, picnics, baseball games, and various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States.

The most important piece of the July 4th celebration today specifically (that being July 4th, 2007), is the celebration of the true American tradition. Despite what we may be told, true American patriots who stay true to the American tradition are not mindless sheep. True patriots cannot be herded into idiocy by the mainstream media and a lying government.

True Americans, the folks we should be celebrating today, are brave soldiers in the fight against tyranny. They stand up for what they think is right despite what anyone else says. In addition, true patriots seek out people who share their beliefs, and fight as a united force against what they know is wrong.

So tonight when you’re watching fireworks set to emotional patriotic music, look inside yourself and decide if you really are a true patriot. Happy Independence Day.
