Why does Ron Paul have to be a Christian conservative?

You know, if Ron Paul could just ditch the Christian stuff and dump the Republican party, I would be so in. But I just can’t get past those two issues, and knowing that because of those two issue he wouldn’t be representing me personally turns me off(which is what these jackhole politicians are supposed to do, right?). Not that I’ll be disappointed if he wins, I’m just skeptical.

Anyway, check this out:

Whether or not you agree with his choices to be Republican or Christian, you obviously agree with his choices of political positions, which are backed up by his long record as an elected official.

To the extent that you believe in such values as individual rights, small federal government, and the authority of our Constitution, yes, he does represent you personally.

Thanks for reading and for the comment, Bob. Upon further consideration I do agree that RP does represent me personally. It’s just hard for me to convince myself that his personal values won’t end up driving his legislative choices as so many others have done in the past. I know he’s better than that, he just has a tough job ahead of himself. And like I said, it’s not that I’ll be disappointed if he wins. Thanks again!
