On our way home last night from arguably the best Halloween party ever, Meghan and I stopped by Del Taco for a midnight snack. I picked up the new Jalapeno Burger, but by the time we got home I was more interested in sleep than food. So into the fridge the burger went.
This morning while laying in bed, I had an epiphany. I decided that the burger would make an excellent scramble, and would serve as my breakfast. The recipe is quite simple, and delightfully delicious.
I cut the burger in half, then cut that half into bite-size chunks. I thre those in the frying pan with some olive oil and let it heat up for a few minute while I got the eggs ready. I beat two eggs together with some milk, then added that to the burger in the frying pan. I then added some Del Scorcho sauce and scrambled it all together until the eggs were done.
I know it sounds weird, but I really think the the burger breakfast scramble is the next big thing. Give it a try next time you’re looking for an original breakfast treat.
