Video of Kucinich’s articles of impeachment
June 10th, 2008 — Multimedia, Politics
Fortunately some fine citizens have posted some videos of Kucinich’s speech from last night on YouTube. I’m going to post a few of them here on my blog for your enjoyment and edification.
This one I find particularly interesting, because it shows how truly disrespectful some members of the House can be. These are the people that we democratically select and pay to go to Washington in our stead, listen to the issues, and represent us once they know the facts.
When they are busy being rude to other Representatives, how can we expect them to make an educated decision on how to represent us? And even more importantly, how can we expect other House members to pay attention to these Representatives who are rude while others are speaking?
VistaPrint is perfect for all your printing needs
June 10th, 2008 — Uncategorized
If you have never heard of VistaPrint, you are missing out on a great online printing resource. I have been using VistaPrint for a number of years, and have been extremely happy with their products (not to mention their prices).
VistaPrint has recently been adding to their product list, which is great for everyone. Back in the early days, VistaPrint had a nice selection of low priced (and free) business cards, letterheads, and other business related needs. Lately though, they have added personalized address stamps, checks, car door magnets, and even creative services to help build your business identity.
In the past year or so though, VistaPrint has also added some great marketing materials to their product list, including hats, T-shirts, sticky notes, pens, and other products to help promote your business.
If you are a business owner, you know how important it is to portray a memorable and effective business identity. And right now, when money is tight for almost everyone, it’s really important to save money as much as possible. VistaPrint can help with all of these issues, and can help you make your business the best it can be while saving you money, no matter how large or small your business may be.

It’s an exciting time in America!
June 9th, 2008 — News, Politics
It’s an exciting time here in the United States! Citizens are glued to their television, waiting to see what will come next! I mean really, it’s rerun time, which means time to catch up on al those precious show you missed during the regular season. This is exciting stuff!!
Oh wait, I was being sarcastic. It is indeed an exciting time, but people aren’t glued to their TVs tonight for the right reasons.
Late this afternoon, former Presidential hopeful and current Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich spent over two hours presenting articles of impeachment against President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. This is finally a small step in the right direction, and really is quite an exciting event!
But somehow this story got lost in the mainstream media. CNN.com has no mention of the story. It’s not even on the front page of the Associate Press. Talk about an enormous failure on the part of the mainstream media. Or is it a success?
Anyway, if you haven’t heard about it (and you probably haven’t), RawStory.com has a story on Kucinich’s articles of impeachment. That’s appropriate, as they were cited a few times by Kucinich in his articles.
Hopefully Pelosi will push this through. Like Kucinich said, it really is the only way to avoid a war with Iran.
Congrats on the nomination Obama, but you’ve lost my vote.

If you think that Obama is going to bring real change to the United States, you’re sadly mistaken. Oh yes, he can run a fairly clean campaign, and makes politics not look as dirty, but when you look at the real issues, it’s all the same.
If you haven’t yet seen this video of Obama’s speech at the AIPAC convention, it’s well worth watching to get a real look into what his plans are. Sure, he’s going to negotiate with Iran (which Bush refuses to do), but if that doesn’t work out it’s war time. And all this despite Iran’s constant assertion that they are not after an atomic bomb.
Oh, and let’s not forget Obama’s promise of thirty billion dollars in aid to Isreal. And I haven’t even questioned what in the hell he was doing campaigning at an AIPAC convention anyway… Think about it.

If you think McCain isn’t a slave to the Christian right, check out this video. Make no mistake - McCain is going to bring us exactly the same crap as we have dealt with for the past seven and a half years. Just take a look at this:
Trade show booths and display solutions
June 9th, 2008 — Uncategorized
All this talk about Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference makes me think of the excitement of industry trade shows. Of course some are not so exciting, but shows like the WWDC most definitely are. If your company wants to be part of the excitement of an industry trade show, you need a good looking display that will catch attendees’ eyes.
A good trade show display starts with a quality trade show booth. The Godfrey Group can help you put together exactly what you need to project a professional and exciting presence in any trade show or retail event, and offers everything from off-the-shelf solutions to fully customizable solutions built to your exact specifications.
Wow…new iPhone!
June 9th, 2008 — Technology
Well, the WWDC keynote is over. Steve Jobs invited some iPhone developers on stage to show their new software, much of which was exciting and innovative. Big names like Sega and eBay showed up with some great iPhone apps. I’m sure more will follow.
The second most exciting announcement is the transition of .Mac to MobileMe. For $99 a year, iPhone users get 20GB of online storage, and real-time syncing of mail, contacts, and other data. I never really had a desire to get .Mac, but this is something I can definitely use. Awesome.
Most excitingly though, is the announcement of the iPhone 3G - faster 3G connection, new case design, and a new way lower price of $199 for the 8GB model and $299 for the 16GB. I’m getting a new iPhone on July 11th! So exciting!!
