When it comes to the rodeo, you really can’t beat the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, or “RFR.” Even though it may not be the most popular sport out here in Southern California, it is an amazingly popular sport in the United States. I have written about the rodeo a few times now, and the fascination and excitement of it all just for some reason gets me.
I have a good personal friend who attends the rodeo with his family, and every time they have a blast. The pitting of man against beast really makes for some great excitement and drama.
Anyway, it turns out that the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo is coming up at the end of the year, and will be held December fourth through thirteenth of 2008 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tickets are available at price ranges to fit any budget, and can be purchased from TeamOne Tickets.com right now!
Don’t delay, though! If you have not yet purchased your National Finals Rodeo tickets and plan to attend this year, you better get on it! Check out TeamOneTickets.com today, and secure your spot in the middle of the excitement and drama of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
On Sunday, the United States hit another morbid milestone in Iraq - 4,000 dead soldiers. And that’s not to mention that possibly million dead Iraqis that have lost their lives in this nonsensical occupation.
With Bush’s feigned empathy for the families of our lost soldiers, and Cheney’s disregard for what the American People think, how is it possible that we continue to allow them to fight this war? How is a Democratic Congress allowing huge streams of money to go into the hands of the war profiteers? And how is it that the American People are not absolutely outraged and storming the White House?
This is not what I thought America stood for. It truly is a disappointing and depressing milestone. My honest and sincere sympathies go out to the families of our lost soldiers and to the families of the lost Iraqis.
These days, finances are tight for just about everyone. A little over a year ago, many people were living high on the hog and enjoying the fruits of the amazing housing market. These days though, things are different. With rising gas prices, decreasing salaries, and state budget crises, everyone’s hurting.
Just about everyone owes money to Bank of America or Citibank in the form of a high interest credit card. It’s a painful and stressful situation, and makes the banks insane amounts of money.

Well, in today’s exciting news, Osama bin Laden has once again been resurrected to stop by and issue a stern warning of continuing terror. It’s just amazing that a guy with a failing liver (not to mention a guy who died in 2001) has enough energy to plan and execute the building of an elaborate al Quaeda base in Iraq.
Just in time to follow up John McCain’s promise to track down a dead man if elected president, the bearded one appears to deliver a message of doom. Not only is it amazing that they keep using Osama to scare us, but it’s even more amazing that we keep buying it. Seriously, even Faux News reported bin Laden’s death. Yet here he is, back from the grave, and no one’s calling BS.
When told today, on the fifth anniversary of the Iraq invasion, that two thirds of the American people are against the Iraq occupation, the ever-smug Darth Cheney simply replied, “SO?”
I am truly amazed at the blatant disregard for the will of the American People that the Halluburton Administration has displayed in the last seven-plus years. Statements like Cheney’s today are evidence that they honestly don’t give a fuck.
Times in the housing market have no doubt been tough lately. Many people are losing homes, or are just drowning in debt. For those folks who don’t own homes, times aren’t much easier. Rising gas prices and decreasing employment rates are hurting everyone.
But there is one dim light somewhere further down the tunnel. Dropping interest rates may actually help some people, and may help some homeowners consolidate their debt. If you are a homeowner and want to find out about refinancing your home and consolidating your high-interest debt, you can check out CountrywideCredit.com. This site, provided by Countrywide, has plenty of information that will help make your House Refinancing decision easier, and will help you develop the right strategy to get the best results from your refinance.
In case you haven’t yet seen it, I would highly recommend checking out Barack Obama’s speech yesterday on race in the United States. Although it seems many people just wanted him to use this opportunity to dismiss and distance himself from the controversial Jeremiah Wright, Obama did the right thing and used this opportunity to talk about how we can move this country forward in a progressive manner.
I’m glad he didn’t just dismiss the issues that Jeremiah Wright has received such a bad reputation over. Who can deny that there is a lot of anger in black America? After centuries of unjust treatment by the establishment, who wouldn’t be mad? And if you think that black America isn’t still treated poorly, just take a look at the government response to Hurricane Katrina.
If you haven’t heard or seen Obama’s speech from yesterday, you really owe it to yourself to check it out. Here it is for your convenient viewing pleasure:
I just read a news story about mortgages in the UK, and interestingly, and much differently than the trend in the United States in the past few years, the mortgage trend in the UK is for fixed rate mortgages. Fixed rate mortgages are dominating the mortgage market, despite widespread belief that interest rates may still go down further. With APRs like 5.83% though, how can you go wrong?
The mortgage market in the US is also going through an interesting time too. After too many years of carelessness in underwriting, lending is getting much tighter and is making it harder for the little guy to get a mortgage. Commercial Mortgages and normal residential mortgages are going through the same thing right now. Hopefully this will slow the rampant foreclosures that are going on right now, but it will definitely take some time.
I’m not sure exactly how I missed this gem of an interview, but somehow I did. In 1994, Darth Cheney predicted exactly what would happen if we invaded Iraq. Not even ten years later, he led a push to invade Iraq, and everything that he predicted came true. If you have never seen this clip before, it’s pretty amazing. It’s one minute of Darth Cheney’s good twin (who would have guessed one even existed?) talking rationally about Iraq. Amazing:
