ABC News has reported that Iraqi Prime Minister al-Maliki cancelled his presence at a trilateral meeting with King Abdullah of Jordan and President Bush. The meeting was scheduled to address the increasing and ongoing insurgent violence in Iraq.
It is assumed that Prime Minister al-Maliki’s cancellation was largely due to the leaking of a National Security Agency memo questioning his ability to deal with the sectarian violence. I can’t say I blame him at all. What right does the NSA have to question al-Maliki’s abilities when it’s our troops in Iraq being led by our Commander in Chief who aren’t getting the job done? It’s not like it’s even al-Maliki making the decisions of how to handle this.
I am consistently amazed at how badly our government has fucked up Iraq, and continues to shift the blame. I really hope that we can make things right, I just have no idea what we can do to redeem what we have done in the last three years.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology, in a paper to be discussed in the beginning of December, admits that direct record electronic (DRE) voting machines are “more vulnerable to undetected programming errors or malicious code.” This is because there is essentially no paper trail, and hence no way to audit the voting record.
Because of this finding, NIST suggests that DRE machines be decertified from the Voluntary Voting Systems Guidelines in favor of software independant machines (the machines that actually have a traceable record independant of their software.
Instead of trying to paraphrase anymore, I’ll just point you at the NIST paper on electronic voting machines and an article about the NIST voting machine paper. Read, and learn. Pretty interesting stuff.

Wallhogs will take any picture, blow it up, and turn it into a huge wall hanging on glossy poster paper or canvas style paper for you. These things are about seven feet by four feet, and are really durable. Not only that, they will also remove any background crap you don’t want, or you can add thought bubbles to add a little extra humor.
As you might predict, I can imagine using these as huge Halloween wall hangings to help dress up rooms in a haunt. Because they are so durable, I’m sure they would be perfect for use in even a professional haunt. Custom haunted wall hangings this enormous would be any haunter’s dream. I’m definitely going to save up for some for next Halloween.
Anyway, give them a look, you might get some great ideas for these things too!

Does anyone else out there not give a flying fuck about the Apple iPhone? There’s so much buzz lately, among promises of gloom and doom if no iPhone shows up at MacWorld in January.
Honestly, who cares about an Apple cell phone? It’s a fucking CELL PHONE! It makes phone calls from your pocket just like your Sony Ericsson or Motorola or Nokia or Sanyo or whoever the fuck cell phone that you already have! And as much as I’m sure Apple can make a kickass cell phone, I would rather have their development teams working on making what they already have better.
Like how about a wifi/Bluetooth iPod? How about finishing up iTV and making it even more amazing than we’re hoping for? Why waste resources making a stupid cell phone when there are so many more innovative products to build?

Here’s a video on Google from a recent screening of Alex Jones’ “Terrorstorm.” Alex Jones and Pastor Davidson Loehr both speak about modern day events in the framework of the JFK assassination, reminding us that just because the “Democrats” won, we can’t just take a back seat and think that everything is just going to be magically fixed. Those of us fighting for what is right, and for real change in our governmental leadership, have to keep up the good fight and not be fooled back into complacency. Take a look, and while you’re at it watch “Terrorstorm” too.

When you order a T-Mobile phone and service plan from wirefly.com, you can get a free Bluetooth headset. Wirefly has many different T-Mobile phones, including the new T629 slider and all of the Motorola RAZR phones. With the new cell phone law coming into effect in California next year, and with the high price of a Bluetooth headset, this is a great deal for anyone in the market for a new cell phone.

Finally someone is actually going to do something about the madness and repression, and is lodging a campaign to sue the Freemasons. Joe Stirling, along with many others, started VOACS (Victims Of A Corrupt Society) three years ago, and has been collecting evidence against the Freemasons for 28 years. The U.K. currently has legislation pending and scheduled to go into effect in the summer of 2007 that will ban smoking in public areas, following the lead of many states in the U.S. To many business owners (not to mention smokers), this will be quite a task to implement. Fortunately a new website has been set up, www.nosmokinglaw.co.uk, which posts updates as they receive them, and which also has resources and links to help businesses understand and comply with the new pending laws.
