Keith Olbermann has done it again, this time with the help of Sam Sedar from Air America. In this video (hosted on crooksandliars.com), Olbermann and Sedar truly expose the idiocy behind Rush Limbaugh’s unprovoked attack against Michael J. Fox over his endorsement of Claire McCaskill.
The best part of this video is when Keith plays the endorsement that Fox did for Arlen Specter from 2004, which is proof that Mr. Fox has the best interests of people in his situation in mind without worrying about party lines. I know that’s not the cool thing to do these days, and that our morals and values must be compromised to completely follow exactly what our political party says, but it’s great to see someone wiling to endorse what he believes in no matter what the political implications are.
Take a look at the video though, as Olbermann and Sedar do a much better job of this than I do.
How to handle our home loan is one of the most important decisions that we as consumers ever make. Unfortunately since it is such a rare decision, home loans and the home loan process is something that very few people truly understand. To be able to make a good decision and get the most out of a home loan, consumers must be fully educated about the process, and especially about avoiding loan fraud.
Fortunately with the Internet, we all have easy and free access to the information that we need in order to make an educated decision through websites like personalhomeloanmortgages.com. I would highly encourage you to do the research and get educated before rushing into such a huge financial decision.
As if the Amerian Public hasn’t been lied to enough, now Bush and Co. are claiming that they “were never ’stay the course.’” Apparently the stress of the upcoming elections has driven them to further compromise their values and lie to the American Public once again. Check out this video for documented proof:
If you want to see Veronique, PayPerPost’s “Flaming Tamale”, vent on her frustrations, check out her “confessional” video, posted below. I just watched it, and can completely empathise. I feel your pain, Tamale!
I, too, am overworked, overfrustrated, and underfunded. Not only am I managing 25 separate websites on a full-time basis, I am also in the process of looking for a new apartment, working on some business deals to supplement my income, doing additional web work on the side, getting paid to blog, commuting my ass off, and trying to keep my marriage healthy and happy. Oh, and managing to sneak some sleep and “Lost” in is also quite a trick. It is not easy.
So I totally hear you, FT. Thank you for the rant, and I hope that your frustrations subside. Thank you for all you do for us, I think you’re handling all of us bloggers and advertisers quite well, especially considering that there’s only one of you. Oh, and have a great time in Europe. You’ll love it.
How D.A.R.E. (haha) Rush Limbaugh, that (ahem….alleged) right-wing froot loop drug addict, criticize Michael J. Fox for “exaggerating the effects of his disease” when filming his stem cell research ads? Limbaugh’s audacity really does know no bounds.
I just find it sad that Limbaugh has to resort to personal attacks against the supporters of stem cell research in order to support his stance. Don’t the idiots… errr, people… (yes, I recognize the irony, and I trust you do too) on that side of the argument have any better point of contention against stem cell research other than suggesting that Michael J. Fox might be acting?
It makes me sad that we have come to this. The only political advertising going on out there are personal attacks against opponents. Heaven forbed that anyone give voters the truth and let them make a decision for themselves. We have sunk to a level of saying “If you don’t vote for what I think is right, you’re dumb.”
Of course when you really think about, you realize that these smear campaigns paired with fraud in the election system like electronic vote switching and discarding absentee ballots, will completely discredit our system of government. The only people who will show up at the polls are the elite, who know that their votes will be counted and that their control will be maintained. This is part of a much larger issue, and one that we all need to be aware of as our civil liberties are progressively stripped away.
If any of you ladies are still stumped as to what to be for Halloween, I think I have found your solution. Dimout.com, besides being a great online source for lingerie of all sorts, also has a plethora of those great ladies’ Halloween costumes that we all know and love.
If you are looking for that perfect combination of naughty and evil, check out the sexy witch costume. If you’re just going for the sexy, give the prep school girl costume a try. You’ve got to love the plaid skirt. If you want to mix a bit of patriotism into this Halloween, go for the erotic navy office costume. There are plenty more costumes there too, just check out the site.
Although all of the above are all well and good, my personal vote is that you go to whatever Halloween party that you’re going to as the same thing that I did last year:
The buzz lately is that the Democrats will indeed sweep the elections this year, and will regain control of Congress. How true is this, though? I can think of a few unfortunately factors that make me wary, and I will show little surprise if the Dems don’t manage a win this year.
Among those factors are true to the core GOP Americans. These folks will not sway from their deep dedication to The Lord and the GOP no matter what. They’re the dumbshits who are keeping Bush’s approval ratings as high as they are. Yeah that’s what I said, “As high as they are.”
Another factor is the Democrats’ inherent defeatist attitude. Because of it, they have failed to truly unite and still have very little unity in the party. Groups like moveon.org and Democracy Now! have done their damnedest to bring some unity into the party, but from what I have seen it just ain’t working.
My worst fear though, is Diebold. Despite their claims that they have uploaded a patch to all voting machines to clean up the Clinton Curtis vote switcher, reports are still coming in that these machines are not tamper-proof. The number of security risks to these Diebold machines is staggering, and could certainly result in less than accurate results in a number of counties.
This is not to say that you shouldn’t vote though. I would argue that the threat of the Diebold machines reporting inaccurate results will keep Democrats from even hitting the polls “since their votes won’t be counted anyway.” Don’t believe the hype. Vote on paper, and if you have no other choice vote on a Diebold machine and bring a camcorder with you to record your vote. But no matter what you do, get out there are vote!
